Jansons are very pleased to have gained planning permission for the site at 350, Basingstoke Road, Reading. As you can see from the images, it’s going to improve the site hugely, replacing drab old buildings with light modern ones.
The new development will bring more jobs and facilities to the area, with Aldi, Greene King (Hungry Horse) and Pure Gym all signed up to move in. Aldi are gaining market share at the moment, competing well against the larger supermarket chains. There are over 220 Hungry Horse pub/ restaurants in the UK and they’re still growing. Pure Gym locations are open 24/7, so there’s no excuse for not going!
Jansons have assembled a great team so far to bring this site to completion. Hives Architects are well known for delivering large, complex projects. K2 Consultancy work in both the public and private sectors, advising on risk, quality and assurance and procurements and contracts. Manhire Associates are consulting engineers who specialise in light, glassed structures. Applied Energy deliver energy efficient solutions for their clients, crucial with today’s energy legislation requirements and Peter Brett Associates are a leading development and infrastructure consultantancy.
Currently, Jansons are looking at tenders from contractors for the site and, as soon as a decision has been made, we’ll update you. Keep logging for more news.
